Redeemer Biblical Counseling Training Institute (RBCTI) is a certified training center of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (formerly NANC).
The Institute is a two-year training program in biblical counseling for pastors, elders, deacons, and key lay leaders. Training includes classroom instruction, counseling observation, and counseling role play. Classes meet Monday evenings from 6:30 - 9:30 pm in three 10-week quarters during fall, winter and spring.
The faculty varies, but may include Bill Slattery, MDiv, Donn Arms, MABS, Rev. Dan Dodds, Dr. George Scipione, Elder Jay Younts, Rev. Scott Cook, MDiv, and Rev. Steven Owensby, MDiv, with additional content by Jay E. Adams, PhD. Each faculty member has been trained by, studied under, or worked closely with Dr. Adams for many years. All are experienced counselors and widely recognized as a leaders in Biblical/Nouthetic counseling circles. We are thankful to be able to assemble a faculty that is not only committed to the sufficiency of the Scriptures to meet the needs of God's people, but who are also able to teach others how to skillfully use the Word in the counseling room.
